As you probably know, this Saturday is nationwide "Free Comic Book Day" at participating comic shops. At free comic book day there are, well, free comic books (select titles only!)
In addition, though, at the Dragon's Den in the Poughkeepsie Plaza on Route 9 there is a whole day full of fun. The store invites all patrons to dress up as their favorite character, and at 1 p.m. a contest will be held -- the winner of which will be given a $50 gift certificate.
At 3 p.m. comic book legend J.M. Dematteis is stopping by for a signing session followed by a Q&A at 4:30.
There will also be screenings of top super hero movies, like the first two Spider-man flicks at 10 a.m., X-Men 1 at 1:30 p.m. and X-Men 2 at 6 p.m.
As I said, a whole day of fun. Bring your kids!
